GABE JG 99268 to be precise.

That is what I wanted to know for ages. Only this and 99265 were not complete in my records :)

The new owner should put the correct livery on though. It now is a mix of the 89 and 90 livery.

Great news to finally put the chassis numbsr against the car.

1 thing that bugs me about Martin's old car is the headlight strip of red is wrong as the number 2 ran the red not number 1.

Me being picky lol

Sorry my quote was about martins old car texaco livery 99269

Regarding the bastos livery the names on the side are from 1989 and the livery is 1990, it's missing livery stickers from the 1990. If you look closely on the swag line from the door handle you can see it.

Ah, Okay. That was me not realising what car Martin had!!

I did spot the difference in the livery on the side of the car.

What are the three clips around each headlight? Do they hold a perspex headlight protective cover in place?

Yes mate they hold head light covers in place, i had them on a road car rs500 once, not a great fan of the look, popped them on e bay, sold for silly money. Your car is stunning.

As said the car is in a 1990 base livery. Made up to look like the 89 livery. The 90 Bastos cars had Castrol backing in the white areas. Apart from that the size and position of some other stickers is wrong.

If all research is correct this is the car in 19891989 Spa 24h Eggenberger 3.jpg

And this is the same car in 1990:Spa-1990-07-22-002.jpg

Now we know that the 99268 was used in the 1989 season as Bastos No1 car would that suggest 99267 was the Bastos No2 car?

seeing as 99269 was used in the DTM in 89.

Think we knew that 99268 was the Bastos no1 car in 1989 for years :)

I don't know which chassis was the no2 car in 1989 though. Same as the 2nd Eggenberger DTM car of Brancatelli in 1989, unknown which chassis that is.

Yeah completely agree just nice to have a solid confirmation unless I've misread what's gone on.

Very difficult to get a 100% on a car with mislead information.

Would it it be worth writing the full info on all cars.
