Rebuild Of My Graham Goode Racing 3DR

Recommended Posts

Thats interesting that they were allowed to use a 200 block, I guess the rules just stated standard cosworth road block back then, rather than the block used by the 3dr.

I doubt there are any complete n/a cosworths left from that period now so I guess its going to be a one off  8)

Amazing to think GGR has had this stashed all these years, I wonder what else is in storage with them.

I bought one of their last new 500 bumpers back in about 2006. Only £500 in its box! I bit his hand off lol he seemed over the moon to get rid of it!

Yeah the engine has kept so well it still looks new, Harvey Gibbs came over with me when i went to collect it and he took it back with him as im getting him to top and tail it then it will go on his dyno. Graham said it was 299.5BHP so time will tell, i didnt get any pictures of the head as i forgot  :'( but that also looks to be perfect and had bigger valves fitted.

Well having tried my very best on many occasions i have finally giving up on trying to buy the original rear beam, this had a square beam with tubular arms graham told me there were only 2 ever made, 1 was sold to a guy in Peterborough and the other is now fitted to an Escort. Graham hasn't any drawings of the beam and he hasn't seen the guy who made them for him in donkeys years.

So having speaking to Paul S (thanks) he had some pictures of the original beam so im going to forward them onto Harvey tomorrow and see if his beam man can do anything for me failing that i will get him to make me a 6 degree 1.

Heres some pictures of the original beam.
